Our Mission
NuBody Pilates, founded in 2008, is a studio in Vancouver Heights, dedicated to helping clients enhance strength, flexibility, and well-being through Pilates and Tension, Stress, and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®). Offering classes for all levels, the studio prioritizes small group sessions to ensure personalized attention and individualized progress. With a focus on building strong client relationships, NuBody aims to reduce stress and promote overall health in a supportive, comfortable environment. Committed to quality instruction and excellent customer service, the studio listens to and meets the unique needs of each client, helping them achieve their wellness goals.

Classes

Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates focuses on strengthening core muscle, improving flexibility, and enhancing overall body alignment and posture. The exercises rely on body weight for resistance and emphasize controlled movement, proper breathing, muscle engagement, particularly targeting the abs, lower back, hips and gluteus. It is known for promoting body awareness, stability, and balance while helping to prevent injury and build a strong, toned physique.

Reformer & Tower Pilates
Reformer and Tower Pilates are performed on a Peak Pilates System. The reformer provides a dynamic range of motion and allows for more challenging, full-body exercises that target strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Reformer exercises offer both greater resistance and support, enabling deeper muscle engagement and more diverse movement. The tower combines elements of mat and Reformer Pilates, focusing on core strength, flexibility, and control. It is especially effective for improving posture, alignment & balance and increasing overall muscle tone and stability.

TRE
Tension, Stress and Trauma Releasing Exercises
Tension, Stress and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE®) is a technique designed to release deep muscular patterns of tension, stress and trauma. It involves a series of guided exercises that activate the body's natural tremor mechanism. These involuntary tremors, or shaking, are the body's way of discharging built up muscle tension related to injury, stress or trauma and acts to calm the the nervous system. TRE is accessible to all fitness levels and can be modified based on individual needs. It helps to improve both physical and emotional well being by releasing stored tension over time in a safe and controlled manner, to return to a natural state of balance.​
